EDGEWATER SHORELINE

Edgewater, MD. Right on the water, so the coastal design took its cues straight from the view. White walls throughout, kept intentionally quiet, so the natural light and the water could carry the room. Rattan and jute textures move through the space, in a woven bench, a wrapped vase, a round jute rug anchoring the breakfast nook, bringing in warmth without weighing the rooms down. Navy accents show up in small, deliberate doses, striped accent chairs here, a patterned throw there, referencing the water just outside without leaning into anything overly nautical or themed. Brass fixtures warm up the whites, and a black and white sailboat print in the primary suite ties the whole story back to the setting. Out back, a direct walk down to the private beach, sunlight on the water and swans passing by, serene.
