MCLEAN NEW BUILD

McLean, VA. The entry is two stories tall, with black metal and wood stair railings framing a gallery sized art piece. The formal living room makes smart use of an awkward front corner, a quiet space for conversation rather than everyday lounging, a pair of chairs in crisp upholstery on ash wood bases anchoring the space around a bronze coffee table. The kitchen keeps it simple, leather counter stools letting the marble island and brass pendants do the heavy lifting. In the family room, a linear fireplace centers the room, a brown chaise and pottery style lamps warming up the neutral palette. The breakfast room went oval on purpose, buying back a few extra inches of walkway clearance while doubling as a piece of art in its own right. A kids' flex room offers a sofa and small desk, built for play and study, mature enough to flow with the rest of the home. A private office pairs a reeded wood desk with a bold abstract painting, and the primary suite closes things out with layered art, a woven jute rug, and private balcony access.
