THE WATERVIEW 27TH FLOOR
Arlington, VA. A corner unit at the Waterview, floor to ceiling glass paneling the entire curve. With the bold red kitchen and cherry floors as the base, every piece brought in plays off of them. The open plan fans out into three zones. Low modern furniture keeps the living room sightlines clear, with contemporary color in the art and an oversized woven leather floor mirror set to catch golden hour. The dining zone was kept light, a glass top table and one oversized plant chosen to complement the monuments lined up across the Potomac and let the view stay the focus. Off the kitchen, a bar cart moment in brass and crystal gives the evening a place to start. The primary bedroom was built for calm, crisp white bedding with a cool green throw as the only real color. A woven wood panel runs above the headboard, with a carved black cube dresser and a taupe accent chair on block legs below it, shape and texture carrying the room with the city itself as the art. The second bedroom goes quiet and cozy, velvet curtains in burnt orange setting the tone with warm woods and clean black lines beneath them, soft without going heavy. Twenty seven floors up, and just as interesting inside.
